If a slot remains unclaimed, Olio automatically posts a message in the squad’s group chat the day before the collection. This lets other squad members cover the slot as a one-off collection.
❓ Does the slot stay available for regular volunteers?
Yes. Even if someone covers it once, the slot remains visible in the Volunteer Hub for a Food Waste Hero to claim as an ongoing slot.
❓ Can I claim unassigned ongoing slots as one-offs?
Yes. Food Waste Heroes can claim the first instance of any unassigned ongoing collection as a one-off directly in the Volunteer Hub.
