What does the “Surplus Food Confirmed” label mean?

This label shows that food has definitely been confirmed for a collection slot.

Updated over a month ago

🏷️ You’ll see this label when:

  1. The store has confirmed food is available

    • Via Foodiverse (Tesco, Booker, Waitrose) or Olio Collect (Iceland, One Stop, Holland & Barrett).

    • Updates are sent directly to squad chats.

  2. A charity drops out last minute

    • If a store already confirmed food, Olio volunteers may claim the one-off slot.

    • Tesco one-offs usually appear 7:30–8:30 pm; Booker/Waitrose around 1 hour before collection time.

    • Always wait for the squad chat confirmation before attending.

  3. A site requests a real-time collection

    • Part of the real-time trial. See Real-time collections FAQ.

🔑 Key tips

  • Slots with this label = food is guaranteed if you see the confirmation in squad chat.

  • If you get an error when claiming, it likely means another volunteer or charity already took it.

  • Update your Volunteer Hub notifications to avoid missing one-off slots.
