TV and film sets: Whatsapp group chats

There are often many onsite contacts at production sites, so we may ask that you join a Whatsapp chat with them to confirm whether there is food to collect.

These Whatsapp group chats are really useful!

πŸ™ As well as confirming if there is food for you to collect, the people on the ground can let you know exactly where to go, and if there are any last minute time or location changes.

πŸ‘« FWHs who have collected for the production company at other locations may already be in the Whatsapp group. Feel free to stay in the group after your collection has finished, as the team may come back to your area again! But you must always sign up for the collection on the Volunteer Hub. The slots are sometimes added a week or two in advance, but often they are only added a couple of days before.

πŸ“² Please feel free to exit the Whatsapp chat when your collection has ended. The team will likely leave this location and move to a new one where new FWHs will join the chat!

⚠️ If you don’t have Whatsapp please free up the slot for another FWH, as this is the only way for you to check if there is food.

Behaviour in the Whatsapp group:

πŸ“£ Please be mindful that the Whatsapp group is for confirming collections only. The onsite contacts are in the group so we need to minimise the amount of messages they receive.

Please use the Squad Chat for any conversations with other FWHs. If you need to flag an issue, or if you need to contact a FWH who is no longer in the Squad Chat, please flag it to Olio via our Issue Report form.
